How a repair runs
Six steps, no surprises. You approve a written price before anything is soldered.

Send it in
Pull the board, note the equipment make and model, and write down what the machine was doing when it failed. Email for an RMA number, then ship it. No appointment, no account required.

Bench diagnosis
The board goes on the bench and gets powered up under load. Diagnosis is $85 flat, and it comes off the invoice the moment you approve the repair — so an approved job costs you nothing extra to have diagnosed. Trade accounts are never charged for it.

Written quote
You get the failure cause, the parts needed, the price, and the turnaround in writing. Nothing is soldered until you say yes. If the board is not worth repairing, you hear that instead — and you owe the diagnosis fee only.

Repair
Component-level work: failed relays, dead switching supplies, burnt traces, cracked solder joints, blown drivers, corroded connectors. Standard turnaround is 1–3 business days on the bench. A 24-hour rush is available at +50%.

90-day warranty
Every repaired board carries a 90-day warranty. If the same fault comes back inside that window, the repair is free. Not prorated, not a credit — the same repair, again, at no charge.

The board ships back the day it passes test, billed at cost with no handling markup. Tracking goes out by email as soon as the label is printed.

For HVAC, refrigeration, restaurant service, and ag equipment contractors: diagnosis is always free, repairs are billed at a 20% trade discount, and Net 30 after first invoice terms are available. Send the boards you have been writing off.

Shipping a board in
Contractors ship boards here from any state. Most of what arrives damaged was packed loose in a box that was too big.
Before you ship
Email for an RMA number before shipping. Write it on the outside of the box and on a slip inside.
Bag the board in antistatic material. Bubble wrap alone is not antistatic and can hold enough charge to finish off a marginal part.
Immobilize it inside the carton. A board that can slide will arrive with cracked solder joints that were not there when it left.
Include the equipment make, model, and serial, plus a one-line symptom description. "No heat, no display, breaker holds" is worth more than a page of history.
Send the whole assembly if the board is attached to a heat sink, a transformer, or a wiring harness you cannot cleanly separate.
Do not send the entire unit. Boards only — there is no room on the bench for a rooftop unit.

Before you ship
What if it cannot be fixed?
You pay the $85 diagnosis fee and nothing else. A no-fault-found board — one that tests clean on the bench — is billed the same way.
Boards get declined when the failure is a discontinued custom ASIC, when the damage has destroyed too much of the board itself, or when the repair would cost more than a replacement. In that last case you will hear it as a recommendation to buy new, with the reason.
How long does a repair take?
Standard bench turnaround is 1–3 business days from the day the board arrives, plus transit each way. A 24-hour rush is available at +50% of the repair price.
Turnaround is bench time. If a repair needs a part that is not in stock, you are told the lead time in the quote before you approve anything.
What does the warranty actually cover?
90-day warranty on all repaired boards. If the same fault returns, the repair is free.
It covers the fault that was repaired. It does not cover a new, unrelated failure on the same board, or damage from the underlying condition that killed the board in the first place — a failing compressor that takes out a second driver stage is a new repair.
Do you repair consumer electronics?
No. Commercial and industrial equipment only — no televisions, phones, laptops, tablets, or game consoles.
This is not a hedge about difficulty. Consumer boards are built to be replaced rather than serviced, parts are locked to the device, and the economics almost never work out in the customer’s favor.
Do I need to send the whole unit?
No — boards only. Pull the board and ship it. If it is mechanically bonded to a heat sink, transformer, or harness you cannot cleanly separate, send that whole assembly.
How does payment work?
Payment is due on completion, before the board ships back. Established commercial and trade accounts can run Net 30 after the first invoice.
