The $350 site assessment is credited toward installation. It buys a walkthrough, a sensor plan, and a written scope and quote — and if you go ahead, it comes off the install price. If you do not, the plan is still yours to build from or hand to someone else.

How they are built
Alerting that survives the internet going down
Systems run local-first: alerting and logging continue if the internet drops. Data is exportable. No proprietary lock-in.
Local-first
Alarm logic and logging run on hardware at the site, not in a data center. When the DSL drops or the cell tower goes down, the freezer alarm still fires and the log keeps filling. The cloud is where data goes to be looked at later — it is never in the path of an alert.
Your data, exportable
Readings export to CSV on demand, and the underlying store is a plain database you can query. Compliance logging is worth nothing if you cannot hand an inspector a file.
No proprietary lock-in
Open protocols, documented hardware, and no device that stops working when a subscription lapses. If you want to take the system over yourself or hand it to someone else, everything needed to do that is yours.

What does the monthly service cover?
Hosting, alert delivery, data retention, and support, at $45–95 per month per site depending on point count and retention.
It is not required for the alarms to work. On-site alerting and logging run locally whether or not the service is active — the subscription covers the hosted dashboard, notification delivery, and history.
What if there is no cell signal at the site?
That case is explicitly in scope. Remote sites without cell coverage are handled with local logging plus a store-and-forward link, or with on-site annunciation where there is no backhaul at all.
The assessment is where this gets settled — signal is measured at the site rather than assumed from a coverage map.
Can it monitor equipment you did not install?
Usually, yes. Most commercial equipment already closes a contact on an alarm or a runtime condition, and that contact can be read without modifying the equipment’s own control wiring.
Where there is no contact to read, sensing is added alongside the equipment — a probe in the box rather than a tap into the controller.
How many points can a system handle?
Starter covers up to 4 monitored points on one gateway. Standard covers up to 12 with reporting. Past that, or across more than one building, it is engineered to spec and quoted.
Do you install outside northern New Mexico?
Installed packages are priced for on-site work in the service area: Watrous, NM, Las Vegas, NM, Mora, NM, Wagon Mound, NM, Springer, NM, Raton, NM, and the surrounding area. Sites beyond 50 miles of Watrous add mileage and travel time.
Hardware alone ships anywhere in the US through the shop.
